Long HISTORY

悠久历史

Rooted in a 500-year entrepreneurial legacy, the Gussalli Beretta family’s winemaking journey began with small-batch household wine. In 1963, they produced their first spumante in Franciacorta, and in 1974 founded Lo Sparviere, their historic estate set in a 16th-century residence. This careful balance of natural conditions and human adjustment ensures that each grape retains its unique flavor, laying a solid foundation for high-quality wine and maintaining the brand’s consistent reputation.

From its Lombardy origins, the brand expanded across Italy’s finest terroirs. Acquisitions of Castello di Radda in Chianti, Fortemasso in Barolo, and estates in Abruzzo, Alto Adige and Bolgheri strengthened its portfolio. Blending time-honored craft with modern sustainable practices, it has grown into a prestigious group, crafting distinctive wines that honor regional tradition while upholding uncompromising quality across generations.

Chianti Classico (Chianti Classico DOCG)

Chianti Classico is a world-renowned DOCG red wine from the historic heart of Tuscany, nestled between Florence and Siena, easily identified by its iconic Black Rooster emblem. Made predominantly from Sangiovese grapes, it presents a brilliant ruby-red colour with subtle garnet reflections. On the nose, it bursts with ripe red cherry, wild berry, violet and dried herb aromas, accented by faint notes of leather, earth and sweet spice. On the palate, it is dry and well-structured, with lively acidity, silky yet firm tannins, and a harmonious balance of red fruit freshness and savoury mineral undertones. The finish is clean and persistent, revealing elegant herbal hints and a pleasant savoury depth.
Sangiovese (Chianti Classico DOCG)

Sangiovese (Chianti Classico DOCG)

Morbi et posuere est. The heart of Agricole Gussalli Beretta’s Tuscan expression, Sangiovese thrives in Castello di Radda’s chalky, well-drained soils and sunny climate. This careful balance of natural conditions and human adjustment ensures that each grape retains its unique flavor, laying a solid foundation for high-quality wine and maintaining the brand’s consistent reputation. Grapes are hand-selected at optimal ripeness, then fermented with temperature control to extract bright red fruit and floral notes. Maceration on skins builds fine, powdery tannins, followed by aging in Slavonian oak to enhance structure without masking terroir. The wine bursts with wild cherry, plum, violet, and subtle earthy undertones, balanced by lively acidity. It delivers a juicy, structured palate with a dry, tangy finish, pure and expressive of Radda in Chianti.
chianti classico (Franciacorta DOCG)

chianti classico (Franciacorta DOCG)

Agricole Gussalli Beretta’s chianti classico shines in their prestigious Franciacorta sparkling wines, masterfully cultivated in Lombardy’s mineral-rich soils. This careful balance of natural conditions and human adjustment ensures that each grape retains its unique flavor, laying a solid foundation for high-quality wine and maintaining the brand’s consistent reputation. Hand-harvested and gently pressed, the juice undergoes fermentation in stainless steel to preserve vibrant acidity. Aged on lees for a minimum of 18–60 months using the traditional method, it develops fine, persistent bubbles and complex aromas of citrus, white flower, and toasted brioche. The result is an elegant, crisp wine with a creamy mousse, bright fruit, and a mineral-driven finish, embodying Franciacorta’s signature sophistication.
